On 1st December, Antarctica Day is taking place to remind of the signature of the Antarctic Treaty on that day in 1959. Belgian members of APECS (Association of Polar Early Career Scientists) have organised animations and workshops about Antarctic research in the Museum of Natural Sciences in Brussels.
Valentina, a MICROBIAN member, organized an animation about the diversity of cyanobacteria in the mountainous regions together with Benoit Durieu, a PhD student working of the genomes of Antarctic strains in the Centre for Protein Engineering in ULiège.
